The Film Study Center at Harvard University

Website + Brand Identity Updates

Project Overview

The Film Study Center at Harvard University supports filmmaking, moving image, and sonic practices at the university through granting fellowships and access to equipment, holding work-in-progress critiques, and hosting visiting artists. Working on a limited budget, instead of starting from scratch, we planned for and made changes to their old Wordpress site, making the site more fluid, improving the the overall experience of the website.

Additionally, a sketch of the FSC logo designed circa 1957 by Hungarian-born artist, designer, educator, and art theorist György Kepes was discovered by a PhD researcher. We took the original sketch, redrew it, and developed some complementary typography for use on the site and in their print materials.
