Essex Coastal Scenic Byway

Kiosk System Environmental Design

Project Overview

goodgood partnered with Omloop to develop a visitor information kiosk system — 9 Kiosks connecting 14 communities along the Essex Coastal Scenic Byway — for a 90-mile coastal byway, to guide visitors and residents through one of the region’s most picturesque and historically significant areas.

Working closely with local stakeholders from 14 different communities across the North Shore of Massachusetts, the system aims to stimulate the traveler’s interest in exploring and engaging with the byway region’s extensive and outstanding heritage sites, recreational resources, and visitor services. The project entailed the installation of wayfinding kiosks at nine (9) existing visitor centers, including Lynn, Marblehead, Salem, Beverly, Gloucester, Essex, Ipswich, Newburyport, and Salisbury.
