Dollars & Sense Magazine

Brand Identity + Style Guide

Project Overview

Dollars & Sense is a magazine focusing on economics from a progressive perspective. Published since 1974, it is edited by a collective of economists, journalists, and activists committed to the ideals of social justice and economic democracy. The magazine is aimed at academics, students, and activists in the economic justice, social justice and labor movements.

We designed a logo which interjects this idea of ‘questioning of the status quo’ into the word Dollars. The updated design system including a new logo system and color palette that combines both a sense of tradition as well as a more modern language.
